Betty Carol Moulton Watson, age 84, of Milton, Florida, died Tuesday, October 27, 2021, at her home of acute myeloid leukemia. Mrs. Watson was a 63-year resident of Milton, Florida. She was born in Samson, Alabama, in 1936, but moved to DeFuniak Springs, Florida, with her family as a young girl. Mrs. Watson is a graduate of Walton High School, Class of 1954, where she was the head majorette and a member of the National Beta Club. She attended Carraway Methodist Nursing School in Birmingham, Alabama, where she met her husband, Dr. William N. Watson, whom she married in 1955, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Dr. and Mrs. Watson lived in California, Alabama, and Pennsylvania before settling in Milton. Mrs. Watson raised six children and worked at her husband’s medical offices as an office manager for many years. Mrs. Watson was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Milton, for more than 60 years. Mrs. Watson will be remembered for her service to First Baptist Church, devotion to her faith, and her love for family and friends. Mrs. Watson is predeceased by her parents, Alice Galloway Moulton and Wilton Hardy Moulton; husband, Dr. Watson; sister, Nellie Neel; brother, William Moulton; and brother, Max Moulton. Survivors include her six children; Kimberly Watson (Richard Stang), William N. Watson, Jr., Shawn Watson Cook (Gene), Leslie Watson, Mark J. Watson, and Patrick E. Watson; nine grandchildren, Tristin D. Watson, Adonica E. Day, Larissa Watson Trawick, Randi J. Watson, Brennah Watson Willis, Tyler P. Watson, Dylan M. Bradley, Ryan Cook, and Easton C. Cook; two great-grandchildren; Diesel W. Watson and Watson S. Trawick; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Milton, Florida, located at 6797 Caroline Street. Family will have a private viewing at 11 a.m. and will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until the service begins, all at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Serenity Gardens in Milton, Florida. Lewis Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Milton, 6797 Caroline Street, Milton, Florida 32570 in honor of Betty Watson.
