Richard K. Szerkins

Richard K. Szerkins, 40, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI passed away on Sunday Oct 24.

A visitation is scheduled on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m.  Pastor Keith Swenson will officiate.

He was born on December 22, 1980 in Oxford, Mississippi, the son of Glen and Joy (Halstead) Szerkins. Richard was a business owner and worked as a flooring specialist throughout his life. He was the hardest worker.  Richard always had an ear-to-ear smile, cracking jokes, happy go lucky kind of guy that would give the shirt of his back to anyone. He loved life, helping people and his children were his world. Richard enjoyed being outdoors, camping, boating on Lake Petenwell and spending time on the lake with family and friends. Richard had a heart of gold and loved everyone unconditionally.

Richard is survived by his mother, Joy Halstead and three children Kayla Szerkins and fiancé Nathan Abrahamson, twins Richard and Jada Szerkins, five siblings   Christy (Larry) Jackson, Keith (Katie) Szerkins, Jenny Szerkins, Jill Szerkins and Ryan Lowery, Jerry Halstead grandfather and all his nieces, nephews and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his father.
