Amanda Rae Reinhardt Obituary

Amanda Rae Reinhardt passed away suddenly on October 23, 2021. She was the beloved daughter of Karen and Kevin Lloyd and Marvin Reinhardt, dear sister of Josh Reinhardt, Rachel (Mike) DeHaan and Andrew Chocianowicz. Amanda, a native of Berkley, Michigan had lived in Macedonia, Ohio since 2019. Amanda had a powerful presence and touched the lives of so many. Her heart overflowed with compassion, there was no end to her generosity. She gave freely of herself and was most fulfilled when helping or taking care of others. Her nurturing spirit extended to the animal kingdom. Amanda was involved with animal rescue and fostered many dogs. She once went to rescue one dog and came home with eight puppies, a true reflection of her tender heart and kindness. A 1996 graduate of Berkley High School, she was a member of the girls’ softball and traveling basketball teams. Amanda was considered one of the softball team’s all-time great catchers and was nicknamed “Gunner” for her speed and ability to throw a runner out. She was voted MVP for scoring 32 points in a basketball tournament game that led the team to victory. – Go Bears! She was an avid fan of both the Detroit Tigers and the Lions. Amanda was a phenomenal leader and had an amazing knack for technology. She was a Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering at Flexera and was selected as a member of their 2020 President’s Club. Amanda was a problem-solver, always thinking outside the box and striving for improvement. She truly enjoyed her work and formed many close friendships throughout her career. She was thrilled and honored to be Aunt Mandy to three nieces and two nephews, Tayla and Alaina Steczek and Reese, Theo and Dylan Reinhardt. She was the beloved niece of Glenda Camp, Alan and Kelli Camp and loving cousin of Olivia Camp, Erica O’brien, Diana Monroe, Phillip Gensler and Melissa Phommachakr. She also leaves behind her dear puppy Willow, many other family members – aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Amanda will be profoundly missed by all those whose lives she touched in her special way. Amanda brought us joy and made us laugh, memories of her wit and humor will carry us through the deep sorrow we face as we grieve this devastating loss. The family will receive friends Saturday 2-8pm and Sunday 12:30pm til funeral service 1pm at A.J Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Rd (btw Maple & Big Beaver), Troy, 248-362-2500. A private burial will take place at Oakview Cemetery.
