<p>Estefania-Rebeca Gonzalez Medina (Stefanie)<br /> May 23, 1997 &ndash; October 24, 2021<br /> <br /> Stefanie was born May 23, 1997 in Madera, CA and passed away October 24, 2021 at home surrounded by family. She was the older of two daughters to Deacon Enrique Medina and Emelia Medina. She attended schools in Madera from Kindergarten at Lincoln Elementary, the continued her Elementary at Berenda and Jr. High at Nishimoto where he was a member of the Cross-Country and Track team, and the Marching Band. She attended Madera South High School as a Stallion, and she was attending Fresno City college taking Education classes as her goal was to become a Kindergarten teacher.<br /> Stefanie was a sweet, kind, happy caring person always with a smile and lighthearted. She wanted to learn to play guitar and began practicing at home as a hobby. She enjoyed animals which included dressing up the chickens in Build-a-Bear clothes. She saved a newborn kitten that had been abandoned and her last wish before passing was to get a kitten to spend whatever time she had left with a kitten.<br /> <br /> She received her Sacraments of initiation; Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation, and always remained close to the church even when her illness began and all the way through to the end. She would say she wasn&rsquo;t afraid of her illness, and she trusted in God&rsquo;s plan for her. She also received her Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick before passing.<br /> <br /> She enjoyed traveling specifically to Disneyland and Disneyworld and would always invite other friends or cousins to come along as she wanted to allow others to also share in those happy outings.<br /> <br /> Stefanie was preceded in death by her grandparents Arnulfo S. Medina and Angela C. Medina, and Juan Gonzalez as well as two uncles Ernesto Medina and Eliseo Gonzalez.<br /> <br /> She is survived by her parents and younger sister Elizabeth Medina, as well as her maternal grandmother Christina Gonzalez, her Baptismal Godparents Edwardo and Christine Medina, and her Confirmation Godmother Ana Garcia; as well as countless aunts, uncles, and cousins.</p>
