Christie Mae (Beavers) Densberger passed away suddenly following a brief illness on October 25, 2021 at 10:40pm at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD surrounded by her family. Christie Mae Beavers was born on August 19, 1964 to Daniel James Beavers Sr. and Julie Mae Wickey in Sioux City, IA. On May 12, 1973, Julie Mae Wickey married Larry Groethe and Larry became Christie's step–father. From the unions of her parents’ marriages, Christie had 3 brothers and 4 sisters, Daniel James (Tammy) of Sioux City, Tonya Ann (Groethe) Christophersen of Hornick, IA, Larry Dean (Jennifer) Groethe of Elk Point, SD, Tiffany (Jerry) Hardiman of Phoenix, AZ, Shannon (Matthew) Buum of Vermillion, SD, Justin (Carla Jo) Beavers of North Sioux City, SD, and Lacey (Scott) Beavers of North Sioux City, SD. On July 8, 1982, Christie Mae Beavers married Joe Dean Densberger SR. Joe and Christie had 4 children, Raquel Nicole (Wesley) Boisen of Vermillion, SD, April Dawn Densberger of Yankton, SD, Keshia Kaye (Scott) Beekley of Yankton, SD, Joe Dean (Diana) Densberger Jr. Christie had 9 grandchildren which was the light of her life, Bryce Densberger, Abigail Scheuring, Sadye Fredericksen, Izaya Densberger. Mattie Densberger, Gavin Densberger, Gisselle Densberger, Ian Beekley, and Adriel Densberger. She helped her daughter Raquel raise and take care of her granddaughter, Sadye. Besides spending time with her kids and grandchildren, Christie enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with her husband Joe and her best friends Pam and Duane. Christie is survived by her father, Daniel James (Rhonda) Beavers Sr. of North Sioux City, SD, her step–father, Larry Groethe of Elk Point, SD, her husband, Joe Dean Densberger Sr. of Elk Point, SD, her children and grandchildren, her sisters and brothers, and many nieces and nephews. Christie was preceded in death by her grandparents, her mom, Julie Mae (Wickey) Groethe, her father-in-law, Bert Densberger and her mother-in-law, Marge (Barns) Densberger.
