Joe Federico Miranda passed away unexpectedly at his son, Joe Miranda’s home in Snowflake, Arizona, surrounded by his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren on October 19, 2021.  He was born March 4, 1940, Clint, Texas, where he grew up and started working at a young age to support his mother and younger siblings.  When he became of age, he went on to be a migrant worker where he traveled from state to state following whatever produce was in season.  He then went to California ended up in prison where he learned his trade as a welder.  He also became a truck driver and did mechanic work and further his pursuit being a welder at the top of his craft with minimal education.  He came a steel fabricator.  He fabricated steel into crane parts and whatever was needed.  He was offered several management positions but turned them down due to his inability to read and write.  He then traveled to Casa Grande where he met the love of his life, Angelita.  They got married and had only a son together, Joe Miranda Jr.  They settle in Phoenix, Arizona, and raised him there.  They then moved to the beautiful White Mountains where they bought property and a home where they retired from welding and steel fabricating.  He loved fishing, spending time on the land he and his wife purchased in Show Low, Arizona.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a devoted Christian, husband, father, brother, and grandfather and in my eyes he was a great man!

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Onesimo Miranda and Marla Federico; his wife, Angelita Miranda; and his brothers, Chato and Benito Miranda.

His visitation will be at Silver Creek Mortuary in Taylor, Arizona, from 5 – 7 pm October 29, 2021.
