Linda Marie Fortin Obituary

Linda Marie (Fasquel) Fortin was born on February 1st, 1950, in Minto, NB. She was the daughter of the late John and Eileen (Lemon) Fasquel. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was kind, generous and loving to a fault. She devoted herself to Eugene, whom she married at age 15, her childhood sweetheart and best friend. She was so proud of the 3 daughters they raised together during their marriage of 56 years and took even greater pride of her 5 grandchildren who went on to give her 4 great grandchildren. Linda always loved her Friday night Fredericton shopping trips with Eugene, their Sunday drives, and her daily walk around the block with Marsha. Linda passed away peacefully at Hospice Fredericton on October 23rd, 2021, at the age of 71. Linda will live on in the hearts of Eugene Fortin, her beloved husband and soulmate of 56 years; her three daughters; Barbara Baldwin and her husband Steve of Maisonnette, Glenna Brogan and her husband Jeff, and Lisa Fortin and Craig Copeland all of Minto; her brothers: George Fasquel and his wife Louise of New Maryland, Doug Fasquel and his wife Linda and Donnie Fasquel and his wife Margaret all of Minto; her sister, Joan Sypher and her husband Garnet of Minto, and her sister-in-law, Joyce Fasquel of Noonan; her 5 grandchildren, Kelsey West and her husband Josh, Alex Brogan and his girlfriend Alex Morrell all of Minto, Tara Fenwick and her husband Mark, Tasha McGinnis and her husband Brad and Sarah Baldwin-Stevens and her husband Ben all of Sussex; Four great-grandchildren: Abigail, Alexis, Malcolm, and Caleb; and her best friend Marsha Toulman. Linda is also predeceased by her brother Elmer and by her sister, Sheila Sweeney. A graveside service will be held 1:00PM on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021 at Wallbridge Cemetery with Pastor David Williston officiating. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Hospice Fredericton, PO Box 802 Fredericton NB, E3B 5B4 or online at hospicefredericton.ca would be appreciated by the family.
