Hazel Margaret White Drummond (our beloved Mama Haze), 90, of Milton, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 25, 2021. Born in Flomaton, Alabama and raised in the Pensacola suburb of Ensley, Hazel attended Tate High School and later earned a diploma from Milton High School. She served as a teacher’s aide at Hobbs Middle School from 1969 through 1985, and attended First Baptist Church in Milton. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Avis Welch White; and two sisters, Betty Lou White (Tom) Butcher and Deborah Gail White. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Robert Ray Drummond Jr.; daughters, Kathyrn Annette Drummond (Gene) Clark, Margie Carol Drummond (Lindy) Bailey, and Cynthia Susanne Drummond (Wayne) Mincey; sons, Robert Ray (Pam) Drummond III and John Russell (Cindy) Drummond; her brother, Donald (Ginger) White; 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 28, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Milton (6797 Caroline Street, Milton, Florida 32570). A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, October 29, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Milton. Burial will follow services at 2:00 p.m., at Pineview Church Cemetery, on County Road 18, north of Flomaton, Alabama, with Lewis Funeral Home of Milton directing. The family wishes to thank the many medical professionals and caregivers who have attended to our mom over the years. Donations on her behalf may be made to the national Alzheimer’s Association.
