<p>Richard Clayburn Poole, Sr., 75, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021.</p> <p>Mr. Poole was born April 6, 1946 to the late, Julius Alton Poole and Doris Grimes in Columbus, Georgia. He served as a member of the United States Navy before going on to work for thirty years as owner/ operator of The Concrete Specialist. Mr. Poole was known for being hardworking and having a pristine yard. He spent much of his free time gardening. He enjoyed fishing, especially deep sea fishing. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Norman Terry Poole.</p> <p>Surviving are his six children, Denise Guthrie; Mark Mainor, Shannon Beck, Logan Poole, Richard Poole, Jr., and Tyler Poole; five siblings; Alton Poole, Steve Poole, Betty Anne Huckenstein, Laura Cannon, and Donna Alberico; seven grandchildren, Lee Guthrie, Clay Guthrie, Jessica Guthrie, Railey Beck Wyatt Poole, Madden Mainor and Spencer Mainor ; seven great-grandchildren.</p>Obituary
