Irene Antolak, of NE Mpls. died peacefully October 22nd, 2021 at the age of 89. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward and their dear son, Edward Joseph. Irene is survived by her sons John and Steven, daughter-in-law, Joni Mack and grandson, Michael. Irene was born in Eastern Poland on the eve of WWII. Her village was destroyed in the war and her family was taken for slave labor under the Nazis. She came to the US at age of 19 as a refugee. Despite the horrors she witnessed, she lived a life of grace and generosity. Visitation Monday, October 25, 2021 at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH CHAPEL (1918 University Ave. NE) from 5 to 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at the CHURCH OF THE HOLY CROSS (1621 University Ave. NE) Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment Hillside Cemetery.
