<p>With family by her side, Mary Marilyn Dean passed away peacefully on October 23, 2021 at the age of 89 years.</p> <p>Marilyn was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on May 12, 1932 and grew up with 3 sisters: Lorraine, Eleanor, and Madeline. She had 4 children: daughters Debra and Janice, and sons James (predeceased) and Garry, and 14 beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marilyn raised her young children alone as she lost her beloved husband, James William, in 1968. In 1969 she made the decision to move her family to BC.</p> <p>Marilyn was a very joyful woman who will be lovingly remembered for her positive outlook on life. Her family always came first, and she in return was very precious to them. She enjoyed travelling extensively, making many friends around the world. Mom also enjoyed planting gardens, especially for all her family members. The memory of her big smile, her great sense&nbsp;of humour, and her beautiful loving heart will be cherished by all&nbsp;who loved her.</p> <p>&ldquo;Rest in peace Mother&rdquo;. We love you and will carry you in our hearts always.</p>
