John R. Fondrk

Age  72, of Hyde Park, passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born July 22, 1949, in New Kensington, and was the son of the late John R. Fondrk and Julie (Niyri) O'Shea. John was a Marine and served during the Vietnam War. John retired from ATI Allegheny Ludlum West Leechburg plant, where he worked as a craneman. He was of Catholic faith. John enjoyed riding his motorcycles and strolling around flea markets and yard sales on the chance of picking up something to add to his collection.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, MaryAnn (Danik) Fondrk, his brother-in-law, John E. (Mary Beth) Danik, of Frazer Township; a nephew, Matthew (Stephanie) Danik, of Harwick; and a great-nephew, Ryker Danik. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Fondrk.

A private visitation and blessing service will be held at the PAUL R. AJAK FUNERAL HOME INC., 921 Freeport Road, Creighton. Burial with military honors will follow in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
