<p>Ann Elizabeth Beda nee Raynak passed away on October 21, 2021 after a short illness at Hogarth Riverview Manor. Ann was born April 18, 1921 at home, living her entire life in the East End of Thunder Bay. She was the eldest daughter of Stephan and Mary Raynak (deceased) and sister to Steve (Victoria), John (Egles), Peter, Joseph, Bernard, and Albert (Sonia) Raynak all deceased.</p><p>Ann married Frank Beda (deceased) and they had seven children: Gail, Frank (Maureen), Gladys (Tony) Tegola, Maureen (Bruce) Sutton, Gary (Cathy), Darlene (Robert) Zeni and Susan (Roger) Benvegnu. Ann is survived by her children, 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, her sister Mary (Steve (deceased)) Andrychuk, sisters-in-law Rita Raynak and Betty (Ron) Sawicki, cousins Mary LeBlanc, Margaret Majocha, Theresa Kristik and numerous nieces and nephews in North America and Europe.</p><p>Ann's family, home, garden and church were the main interests of her life. She was a member of St. Peter's CWL and the Ladies Auxiliary, Slovak Legion, Branch 129. In her later years her daughters got her to travel to Las Vegas, Florida, Cuba and took her on several cruises. Ann like to play bingo and would go with her daughter, Gail, to Grand Portage bingos on Sundays. Ann was the best Scrabble player ever; she knew every 2-letter word in the dictionary. </p><p>We would like to thank Allison from Ogden East End Clinic for her care while Mom was at home, and the staff at Hogarth Riverview (5N) for their excellent care in Mom's final days. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior in the church. Pandemic safety protocols apply. Those wishing to attend are asked to please register with the Blake Funeral Chapel by calling the office at (807) 623-6446. The service will be livestreamed at the St. Peter’s Church facebook page. Donations in memory of Ann to the St. Peter's Renovation Fund, St. Joseph's Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated. </p><p><br></p>
