joined our Heavenly Father on October 21, 2021 at the age of 74.  She will be greeted in Heaven by her daughter JoAnn Marie Paulino Monaco; parents Manuel T. & Maria C. Paulino;  brothers Augusto C., Jose C., Francisco C. and Juan C. Paulino; sisters Lydia C. Limtiaco, Maria C. Perez and Patricia C. Paulino; in-laws William & Jacqueline Monaco; brothers-in-law Juan Limtiaco and Oscar Dydasco; and sister-in-law Marie Paulino.

Paulino and their spouses and children; sister Pilar Rose P. Dydasco and family; brother-in-law David Perez and family; sisters-in-law Catalina, Connie, Ted and Dolores Paulino; and the Limtiaco family.

Fina was a dedicated employee and had a distinguished career for over 40 years as a computer specialist and program manager for the Department of the Navy.  She worked in Guam (her birthplace), Mare Island, California, Keflavik, Iceland and Newport, Rhode Island. She retired in September 2010 from Naval Undersea Warfare Center. Most noteworthy in her career was her expertise on the documentation for weapons systems on each US Navy Submarine in the fleet. She was noted for her caring heart and sincere and loyal friendship.

As a Navy military spouse, she raised two outstanding children and kept an exceptional household, always the perfect host. Family meant so much to her and she put all her love into it. She was the caring wife, super mom and spoiling grandmother (better known as Meme M). She enjoyed traveling, movies and plays and interacting with people. An avid runner, she ran many marathons and races, which was balanced by her love of desserts.

Fina was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2011.  She dedicated herself to help finding a cure by immediately offering herself to medical studies for this horrific affliction. The new drug that recently came on the market, Aducanumab, was her study drug. It did sincerely slow the disease and extend her abilities during the early stages. Fina kept in that study for over 8 years. Unfortunately, there is still no cure at this time for Alzheimer’s.

With humble heart, we the family, wish to extend our sincere appreciation for all the comforting words, love and prayers we have received.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday October 28, 2021 at 10am in Saint James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck School House Rd, Charlestown, RI.  Burial will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.   VISITING HOURS will be Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 4-7pm in the  NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory-SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road (Rt. 1A), Narragansett, RI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association where “Together, We Can End Alzheimer’s”.  https://act.alz.org/site/Donation2?df_id=32112&32112.donation=form1&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paidsearch&utm_campaign=google_giving&set.custom.wt=giving&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhNrQwZbj8wIV2cDICh1EWgvTEAAYASAAEgJw0PD_BwE
