<p>William Wendell Graham, 85, of Woolmarket died peaceably at home on October 20, 2021. Wendell was born on November 14, 1935 in Jones County, the son of Shirley and Gladys Graham.</p><p><br></p><p>Wendell graduated from Woolmarket High School and Mississippi State University graduating with a degree in Forestry Management. Following graduation he went to work for the Mississippi Forestry Commission and retired after 24 years. Wendell then opened G &amp; G Forestry Services together with his wife, Jennie and son, Charles. Wendell joined the Mississippi National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve serving for a total of 38 years and retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.</p><p><br></p><p>Wendell loved the Lord and was dedicated in his service to Him. As a child, he was a charter member of Woolmarket Baptist Church. In 1974, he joined First Baptist Church Biloxi working with the youth and singles and served as a deacon during this time. Wendell was instrumental in establishing Parkway Baptist Church in 2013, becoming a charter member and serving as deacon emeritus. Wendell was very involved in growing Parkway until his death. Wendell was a member of the Polar Star Lodge #154 in Gulfport.</p><p><br></p><p>Wendell is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jennie Swanson Graham; brother, Glen Graham; sister, Linda Robinson; sister in law, Martha Cook; and granddaughter, Dixie Graham.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Charles Graham and his sister, Carol Williams.</p><p><br></p><p>Services will be held at Parkway Baptist Church on Thursday, October 28, 2021, with visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. and service following at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Coalville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkway Baptist Church, 17294 Hwy 67, Biloxi, MS 39532. Southern Mississippi Funeral Services is honored to serve the family of William Wendell Graham.</p>
