Obituary
Nancy Louise Fuhrman, 83, of Orange Park, FL peacefully went home to be with our Lord on October 18, 2021. She was born on August 23, 1938 in Pottstown, PA to Roy and Helen Geyer. Nancy was predeceased by her parents and her younger sister Mary Jane Lenhart. Nancy was the loving mother to Mike (Melanie), Keith, and Craig Fuhrman. Keith was her dedicated caregiver for the last few years of her life and his brothers are eternally grateful for his careful and loving care of their mother. She was a devoted grandmother to Christopher Fuhrman, Rebecca Frye, Ashley Novotny and Ryan Fuhrman, as well as great-grandmother to Christopher II, Alexis, Jameson, and Scarlette. She also leaves behind her niece Sherry Graham. During Nancy’s early years she was a member of the choir at Calvary United Methodist Church and she proudly encouraged her sons when they were young as their Boy Scout Den Mother. Her favorite pastime was watching football, mostly the Jaguars, where we knew she could coach better than most. She was also a huge NASCAR fan and she loved watching the races. If you made the mistake of calling her during a game or race, you would hear about it quickly and be told to call back later. Everyone knew her to be quiet and reserved. Rarely giving her opinion unless asked was a great trait to have while raising three boys. Nancy had a long career with the Clay County School system as a cafeteria manager and happily retired from there after 27 years. She had dual careers at one point and was privileged to retire from JC Penney’s after 30 years of dedicated employment. Services will be held at Jacksonville Memory Gardens on Saturday October 30th, 2021. Viewing begins at noon with services beginning at 1:00 pm. Following the service, Nancy will be laid to rest in the Garden of the Last Supper.
