Polizzi, Leonard J. Jr. “Jack” Gates: Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at age 88. Predeceased by his parents, Leonard Sr. and Caroline Polizzi; sister, Patricia Swiech. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Judith (Sparano) Polizzi; children, Michael (Terry) Polizzi, Leonard III (Julie) Polizzi, Paul Polizzi, Joseph Polizzi, Lisa (Leonard) Palmieri; grandchildren, Amanda (Carlos) Diaz, Camille (Willie) Foster, Natalie (Jeremy) Tillet, Paul Polizzi, Jr., Anthony (Mariah) Polizzi, Brittany Polizzi, Dominic Polizzi, Leonard Palmieri, Giavanna (Andre) Leone, Sofia Palmieri; great grandchildren, Mya, Will, Lena, Eladio, Luca and Isabella; sister, Rosalind Kornbau (Pat Walsh); sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Jackie Mann, Angelina Brixius, Larry Byam; many nieces, nephews and several relatives in California and Pennsylvania. Leonard was born and raised in Canandaigua, NY. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Friends may call MONDAY from 4-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport, Gates. On Tuesday, October 26, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at Parish of the Holy Family Church (St. Jude’s), 4100 Lyell Rd. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Sisters of St. Joseph, 150 French Rd., Rochester, NY 14618 in his memory. His family would like to thank the staff at Unity Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.
