Jackie Melvin Alligood, age 78, of Middleburg, FL entered into heaven with the angels on Sunday, October 17, 2021. He was born to Carl Milton Alligood and Julia Mary Sellers on June 14, 1943 in Albany, GA. Jackie became a father when he was blessed with the birth of his two sons Timothy Jack and John Carl. Jackie will be fondly remembered for his kind heartedness and down to earth nature. He was a kind and gentle soul who was loved by many. He loved to fish and hunt with his family and friends every chance he got to. He loved to collect eagles, white tigers, deer, John Wayne and sports memorabilia, and yellow school busses. Jackie’s world revolved around his family and he loved to travel to visit them any chance he could. He is preceded in death by his parents Carl Milton Alligood and Julia Mary Sellers and his sister Jeanette Edna Alligood Jackson. Survivors include his loving, devoted and adoring wife, Ada Alice Williams Alligood of 57 years; his children: Timothy J. Alligood (Teresa A. Alligood) and John C. Alligood (Penny S. Alligood); grandchildren: Sondra L. Christensen (Colter Christensen), Miranda W. Taylor (Chris Taylor), Taylor L. Jones (Carlos Franklin II), Michael D Wilson (Julie Johnson), Amber L Wilson and Karolynne Wilson along with his 10 Great Grandchildren: Rowan, Finleigh, Alyvia, Chris Jr, Ella, Zayden, Dawson, Sadie, Andromeda, and Oliver. He is also survived by his brother Len Alligood of Jacksonville, FL. A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
