Charlotte M. "Abbie" Jones, age 79, of Newark, DE, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015. Born in Walsenburg, CO on September 9, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Eloise Paffenhauser Mossman and the late Carl Aibner. A registered nurse, Mrs. Jones had worked in the medical field for 25 years. Survivors include her children, Job Jones (Cabrini), Delta, CO, Kevin Jones (Oleg), Denver, CO, Michelle Pedante (Stanley), Machesney Park, IL, Stephen Jones (Heidi), Newark, DE, and Michael Jones (Carol), Fairhope, AL; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her son, Robert Jones, 2 sisters and her former husband, Paul F. Jones. Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2015, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Interment will be private .
