Funeral services for Zac Gibbs, 19 year old Arvada youth who died Friday in an auto accident near Arvada, will be held Thursday, September 8th at 10:00 a.m. from the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Peter Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00p.m. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. There will be a reception and time of fellowship held at the Cowboy Carousel in Buffalo, following the graveside service. Donations in Zac's memory may be made to the Zac Gibbs Ag/business Scholarship Fund in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N Adams in Buffalo. Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com Zachary Robert Gibbs was born on April 23, 1997 in Buffalo to James and Janina Gibbs. He grew up on the family ranch north of Arvada and attended Arvada/Clearmont schools through the 10th grade and completed his Junior and Senior year in Buffalo. He graduated from Buffalo High School with the class of 2015. In high school he was active in football, basketball and track. He was an avid hunter, loved rodeo and was a past member of FFA. After high school he attended Sheridan College where he was in the Ag/business Farrier Program. Zac spent the past two summers working at Eatons' Ranch as a wrangler. He loved working the family ranch in Arvada, and all its aspects, especially riding, roping and working with horses and cattle. Zac was loved by all and never hesitated to offer a smile or a helping hand. He was a great cowboy, an incredible person and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his parents, James and Janina Gibbs of Arvada; one sister Megan Gibbs of Arvada; his maternal grandmother Dolores McMahan of Buffalo; his paternal grandmother Martha Gibbs of Buffalo; his girlfriend Jade Thompson of Glendive, Montana and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
