Thomas Douglas Davis, 69, of Robert Lee, Texas passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021. He was born January 29, 1952, in Stephenville, Texas to Wick and Elois Davis. Doug attended Kopperl High School and graduated in the class of 1970. He later went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University. Doug then began his career in heavy machinery, working for LeTourneau as a Regional Service Manager. Doug was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge #592. Doug never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back for anyone. Men just aren’t made like him anymore; they broke the mold with him. Doug thoroughly enjoyed life, meeting new people, and helping others. He was passionate about his friends, family, and his precious grandchildren. Doug will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors, farming, raising animals, and travel. Doug is preceded in death by his parents; Wick and Elois Davis and son Marcus. Doug is survived by his son Brandon Davis, stepsons Robbie and Jerry Hood, stepdaughter Christy Kenon, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and brother Harvey Othel Davis. In lieu of flowers, the Davis family asks that you make a memorial donation in Doug’s name to Texas Masonic Charities Foundation. “Only hope I did some good while I was here.” A celebration of life is pending for a later date.
