Tracy Mitchell, age 57 of Long Beach, passed away on October 20, 2021 in Lizana.

Tracy was preceded in death by her son, Darryl Wayne “Jay Jay” Mitchell, Jr.

She is survived by her parents, Jim and Linda Ladner; her daughters, Amanda Currie (Joshua) and Jessica Hillman; her siblings, Norman Ladner and Michelle Lizana (Robert); her grandchildren, Alexis Hillman, Lillyann Currie, Kambry Hillman, Jaydon Hillman, Christian Currie, and Rylee Hillman; her nephew, Bradley Chase Ladner; and her nieces, Erica Saucier and Haley Lizana.

Tracy was employed as a teacher’s aide with the Long Beach School District. Her favorite things included shopping/retail therapy, Sonic drinks, and spending time with her grandkids.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. She’s gone too soon and her loved ones will miss her every day, but she has been reunited with her son in heaven.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Faith Baptist Church, Canal Road, Gulfport. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Immediately following the service, food will be served in the fellowship hall.
