John Gerald “Jack” Baines, age 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and four children on October 21, 2021. A memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, December 27th, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Jack was born on December 25, 1948 to the late James A Baines and Helen Marie Handley Baines. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Kritzberger and Helen Richardson. Jack retired from Wilkes-Barre Postal Data Center. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Knights of Columbus in PA. After retirement Jack enjoyed line dancing, spending time outdoors working in the yard, and classic cars. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with the dear friends and family. Jack is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia A. Baines; children, Jack (Kelly Bender) Baines, Molly (Marshall) Blaney, Bridget Baines, Kyle Baines; grandchildren, Josephine Baines McCarthy, Lily Kennedy, and a host of extended friends and family.
