Charles Henry "Chuck" Reed, 59, of Coffeeville, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born on August 26, 1962 to Albert Lenzy Reed, Sr. and Minnie Grace Reed. Chuck worked many years alongside with his friends at Mobile Asphalt. He enjoyed the outdoors and whenever he could he would go hunting and fishing, spending time with his family, and always Roll Tide.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Lonnie Reed and Becky Sheldt.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dewanna Jo Reed; sons, Vester (Stephanie) Reed of Lamison, Stephen (Mary) Reed of Coffeeville; grandchildren, Charles Reed, Emma Reed, Grey Bender, Holly Garrick, Bella Garrick, Ziva Reed, Nahelia Reed, Henry Reed, Brayden Reed; siblings, Theresa (Bobby) Lassiter, Woodie (Eden) Reed, Lenzy Reed, Jr., Patsy Reed, Linda Tanner, Peggy Adams, Marvin Reed and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Hill Spring Holiness Church in McIntosh with the Rev. Benny Harrison officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson and again an hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Jared Autry, Buster Brooks, Charles Brooks, Rickey Evans, Michael Reed, and Dalton Curry
Honorary pallbearers will be George Curry, Bobby Lassiter and Ricky McKinley.
