Margaret Rachel Williams Obituary

Margaret Rachel Williams, 80, of Spring Hope, passed away Monday morning, October 18, 2021 at Rex Hospital. She was born in Wake County to the late Raeford Truelove and Josephine McIver Truelove.

We are all absolutely heartbroken by the loss of Rachel, but honored to have the opportunity today to reflect on, and celebrate her life on this earth. Rachel was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, friend, and faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. She loved her family dearly with a constant, steady, and unwavering God-given love that knows no limits. She was faithful in her attendance at church and loved dearly by her church family. She loved to spend her downtime playing Pac-Man and browsing on her iPad. She was an amazing cook and could whip up a country cooking meal in a snap, whether it was fried pork chops or country-style steak and gravy. But her family was her absolute greatest treasure. Countless times she would brag about her girls, Pam, Sherry, and Robin, and how proud of them she was that they had grown up to be hard-working and caring individuals. They were without a doubt the apple of her eye, and she let everyone know that. And Ray, her husband, was without question her very best friend in this life. Any time you saw Ray, you would always see Rachel right by his side, whether it was cooking in the kitchen, cleaning the house, going out to grab a bite to eat, or a trip out to run a few errands around town. You never saw one without the other. They were the very best of friends and soul mates for life, joined at the hand and the heart, just as God’s design for a marriage should be. Rachel’s life touched so many on this earth and left a lasting legacy for generations to come. We are grateful that for the saints of God, it is not goodbye, but until we meet again. She is enjoying the eternal reward of her faithfulness on this earth.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (Revelation 21:4)
