Glenn H. Elfrink Obituary

Glenn H. Elfrink, 79, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
He was born June 18, 1942, in Leopold, Missouri, to Phillip and Margaret Steinnerd Elfrink. He and Brenda Mouser were married March 23, 1968, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. They had been married 50 years when Brenda passed away October 18, 2018
Glenn was a 1960 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau. He then served honorably in the U.S. Army.
Glenn worked many years with his dad, Phillip, and his brother, Loren, in the family-owned construction business.
Glenn was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. He was a 25-year member and a fourth-degree knight with Bishop Timon K.C. Council 6405. He was also a member of Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158 in Jackson.
Glenn was devoted to his family. He never missed his grandchildren's sports events. He enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting, and liked to take morning walks.
Loving survivors include two children, Tara (Scott) Fischer and Mark Elfrink of Jackson; two grandsons, Chase and Tyler Fischer of Jackson; three brothers: Lindell (Roberta) Elfrink of Alamosa, Colorado; Steve (Olga) Elfrink of Savannah, Georgia and their son, Andrew; and Loren (Catherine) Elfrink of Oran, Missouri, and daughters, Amanda (Josh) Lukefahr and Teresa Elfrink of Marble Hill; and two aunts, Monica Lewis of Cape Girardeau and Eula VanGennip of Advance, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and a brother, Clementine Elfrink.
Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m., Sunday, October 24, 2021, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m., immediately followed by a K.C. Rosary.
Father Randolph Tochtrop will celebrate funeral Mass at 10 a.m., Monday, October 25, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. Military rites and interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Immaculate Conception Building Fund or Masses.
