Cumberland, MD – Floyd H. “Butch” Twigg, 78, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at UPMC-Western Maryland, due to complications of Covid.  Born November 9, 1942, in Maryland, Floyd was preceded in death by his parents: Norma Sue (Heavner) and John H. Twigg.  He was also preceded in death by his brother: Robert L. Twigg.  Floyd was a graduate of Fort Hill High School, Class of 1960.  He was employed for 23 years at Kelly Springfield Tire, and retired from Allegany County Transit.  He still delivered auto parts for Federated Auto, Bedford, PA.  Floyd is survived by his wife of 59 years: Patricia (Nixon) Twigg, his children: Kathy Twigg; Jeff Twigg and wife, Amy, all of Bedford; Cindy Twigg and Charlie Rice; Darrell Twigg and wife, Deneen, all of Beans Cove; two granddaughters: Chelsea Clingerman and husband, Taylor, Everett, and Alexis Twigg, Beans Cove; and a great granddaughter: Goldie Rae Clingerman, who was the apple of his eye.  He is also survived by his sister: Charlene Griffith, FL; his brother: Charles Twigg and wife, Beverly, Pinto, MD; a sister-n-law: Ellen Twigg, Cumberland; his brothers-in-law:  Dave Nixon, Flintstone; and Terry J. Nixon and wife, Debbie, Bedford; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Services will be private.
