Joan Marie Doner, 73, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away October 20, 2021.  She was born on April 5 1948 to the late Arthur and Mary (Cooper) Smith.

Joan is survived by her brothers: Jerry (Kathy) Smith of North Carolina; Jack (Pat) Smith of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Jack Smith.

Joan was a 1966 graduate of Damascus Local High School and went on to earn her bachelors degree in psychology from Bowling Green State University.  She worked as an analysis for the Internal Revenue Service for 26 years and was a volunteer for the Wood County Democrats.

Memorial contributions in Joan's honor may be gifted to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Services will be private.
