WIlliam George Shinham, Sr.

William George Shinham Sr., 89, of Falling Waters, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. He was born on June 20, 1932 to the late Orville Joseph Shinham and Eleanor Furry Shinham. William enjoyed spending time outdoors, farming, hunting, gardening, and feeding the birds. He was an excellent cook. Most of all, William loved the Lord Jesus Christ as his Personal Savior. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jane Keller and Rose Wilhide, daughter-in-law, Amy Shinham, and his grandson, Daniel Shinham. William is survived by his loving wife, Betty Shinham, his children, William G. Shinham Jr. and his wife, Cathy, Robin Taylor, Patrick Shinham, Ellie Haines and her husband, Brian, Kathy Gladhill and her husband, Dennis, and Beth Bright and her husband, Phil. Also included are his grandchildren, Andy, Jessica, Travis, Molly, Katie, Jon, Joseph, Kaitlin, Jane, Nathan, Dennis, and Jessica, seven great-grandchildren, and his niece, Sue Reid and her son, Bobby. Family and friends are welcomed for a memorial visitation on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 6:00pm – 7:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown.
