Mr. William Ray Cochrane of Concord passed away Saturday October 16, 2021.

Ray, known by many as "Pete", was born October 31, 1925 in Concord to Lacy Lee Cochrane and Grace Williams Cochrane.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 17 and following the war returned home and graduated from the University of North Carolina. After a career that took him from Concord to Durham, Goldsboro and Raleigh he retired to Concord with his wife Mary Harrill Cochrane.

He enjoyed renewing old friendships and making new, especially his bridge buddies.

Ray was predeceased by Mary.

He is survived by his beloved little sister Marie, his daughters Beth Williford of Raleigh and Ellen Burr of Cardiff, CA, a son David Cochrane of Sneads Ferry, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
