Randall (Randy) Dee Whisenhunt, 69 years old Checotah resident, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was born on Sunday, December 30, 1951 to Dee and Rosa (Arnold) Whisenhunt in Checotah, Oklahoma. Randy grew up in Checotah and attended Checotah public schools. He met Phyllis Mabrey and they were married on August 21, 1981. Randy attended Tulsa Welding School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sometime later he would work on the pipeline and eventually would drive trucks until he retired. He loved to rodeo and his favorite event was bull-dogging. He loved horses and his favorite horse was Toby. He enjoyed family and really loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his mother Rosa Whisenhunt. He is lovingly survived by his wife Phyllis Whisenhunt of the home; his sons, Raymond Hill of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Donald Hill and Ricky Hill and his wife Brandy, and Brian Whisenhunt of Checotah, Oklahoma, daughters Becky Palmer and her husband Chad of Eufaula, Oklahoma and Kandy Kelley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his father and step-mother, Dee and Leona Whisenhunt of Checotah, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Randy is also survived by other extended family and a lifetime of friends. Viewing will be from 9:00 AM till 11:30 AM on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Garrett Family Funeral Home. Graveside services celebrating the life of Randy will be held at 1:00 PM on October 25, 2021 at Triplett Cemetery Reverend Wesley Thomason officiating.
