Rosario Tellez

Rosario Tellez, 87, died October 16, 2021 in Topeka, Kansas. She was born August 23, 1934 in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico, the daughter of Cenobio Negrete and Maria Munoz.

Rosario moved to Mexico City as a young child, immigrated to the United States in the 50's and lived in Omaha, Nebraska and later moved to Garden City. In addition to caring for her family she also worked as seamstress for the Wilsie Cap and Gown Industry for many years. She enjoyed watching novellas, listening to Vicente Fernandez and was a fan of Betty Boop and Club America Soccer Team. She was a woman of deep faith and prayed often for her children, grandchildren and other family members. Her family is comforted to know she will continue to intercede for them in the afterlife.

Survivors include

Daughter-Leticia Tellez Esquivel Lopez Leon (Julio Robles-DLL) & Leticia’s Children-Francisco Javier Esquivel, Elias Fabian Esquivel, Marco Pedro Esquivel, and Flavio Joaquin Esquivel (Hailey Rianna Nichols)

Other family members include- Enrique Marcos Tellez (Ofelia Mayorga)-Grandson, Vanessa O Tellez-Great Granddaughter, Enrique Marcos Tellez Jr-Great Grandson, Gianna Rosario Tellez-Great Granddaughter,

Other Children- Pedro Tellez, Maricela Tellez, Irma Arroyo and Alicia Holguin;

Sister- Francisca Negrete

Grandson- Efren Bruno Cazares and his Children-Ariela Nichole Cazares, Xavier Cazares, Angel Cazares, and Avianna Cazares.

Other Grandchildren-Angel Holguin, Gerardo Holguin, Alex Riggs, Pedro Tellez, Martin Tellez, Natalia McCain, Felipe Castro, Efrain Arroyo & Alejandro Arroyo.

Other Great-Grandchildren- Pedro Tellez (PJ), Avion Friesen, Gerardo Holguin Jr, Leo Holguin, Lilyana Arroyo, Cruz Arroyo, Alexics Arroyo, Gabriela Arroyo Jr., Layla Arroyo, Ray McCain Jr., Mariah McCain, Isabella Tellez, Dylan Tellez, & Austin Tellez.

Nieces and Nephews- Hector J Perez Negrete, David Perez Negrete, Maria Perez Negrete & Eduardo Perez Negrete.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; Son-Martin Tellez; Siblings-Hilario Negrete, Ezequiel Negrete, Maurilio Negrete, Julia Negrete, Graciela Negrete & Juana Negrete; Granddaughter-Letizia Tellez, Nephew-Jose Luis Guebara Negrete & Daughter-In-Law Adela Tellez.

Visitation will be held 12:00-8:00 pm Saturday October 23, 2021 at Garnand Funeral Home and 9:00 am until service time on Sunday October 24, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Sunday October 24, 2021 with Pastor Leland Jackson as Officiant.
