Patsy Ann Mode

     Pat Ann Mode, age 77, of Ellenboro, went home to be with her Lord, Monday, October 18, 2021, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

     Pat was born Wednesday, May 24, 1944, in Rutherford County to the late Walter Sams and Mary Reid Sams.  She was a homemaker who loved plants and flowers.  Pat was a loving wife, mother and sister.  She loved children and was a Sunday School teacher for a long time.  Pat attended Victory Baptist Church. She loved God and her church family.  Pat was always upbeat, and she never met a stranger.    

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Martha White, Roy Sams, William Sams, Joyce Sams and an infant brother, Carl Ray Sams.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Joe “Doc” Mode; son, Rick Mode; sister, Geraldine Carpenter; brothers, Marshall Sams, Roger Sams (Laura), Raymond Sams (Laurel); Kurt Knechtel who was like a son and a host of nieces and nephews.

     A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Johnny McCarty officiating.
