SEVEN MILE FORD, Va. Teresa Blevins Tilson, age 64, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Teresa was a very special lady – she had a perfect way of making you feel at ease with her nurturing, and fun sense of humor. She loved to take care of everyone, including babying Roy, the love of her life for 43 years. They didn’t have children of their own, but impacted the lives of many children over the years. Teresa loved her family fiercely and cared for many in her community with her 30 years as a nurses aide at Southwest Virginia Mental Health Institute, and 10 years with Mount Rogers Cornerstone, and in-home Health Care. Teresa loved being in charge of the Adwolfe polling place, she was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Order of the Eastern Star. When she wasn’t loving on family or working, Teresa loved crafting, cooking for family and friends, and decorating her home – especially for Christmas. She will be so missed by all who knew and loved her, but to know she is with Jesus today gives us peace. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Okla Blevins; brother, Max Blevins; sister, Aloma B. Frye and husband, Glenn David Frye; aunts, Fay Clear and Jewel Jean Fields. Teresa is survived by her husband, Roy A. Tilson, Jr. of Seven Mile Ford, Va.; sister, Lisa Ann Kroening and husband, Jim of Bahrain (Persian Gulf); sister-in-law, Delaine Shupe and husband, Bob of Bristol, Va.; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Philda “Winky” Holman of Marion, Va., Ann Call of Saltville, Va., Barbara Moser and Kelly Charapich both of Marion, Va. The family will receive friends Friday, October 22, 2021 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Bobby Endicott officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Old Glade Baptist Cemetery, Forest Hills Drive, Glade Spring, Va.
