AUSTIN---Mrs. Heather Faye Austin, age 45 of Middleburg, FL passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on October 16, 2021 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Heather was born July 12, 1976 in Jacksonville, the daughter of Russell F. Parmerter, Jr. and Laurel Faye Dunn Parmerter. Heather shared so much love in her life, and her passing has left an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to have known her. Her love of crafts, her care for her plants and wonderful cooking, the joy she took in caring for her beloved pets Sara and Sylvester, and the cooler weather and color changes of Autumn are but a few of the things that come to mind about her. She is best remembered for the devotion and care she gave in raising her family. Heather was predeceased by her father, and her brother in law Craig Allen Austin. She is survived by her loving husband and high school sweetheart, Steven D. Austin; daughters Kaitlyn Lee (Edgar), Areiana Austin, and Summer Austin; her son PFC Nathan Austin, USMC; her grandson Carter Lee; mother and step dad Laurel Faye and John Warren Proffitt; mother and father in law Pamela and Kenneth Austin; and many other loving family members and friends. In honoring her wishes, memorialization is by cremation. A memorial service and celebration of Heather's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday October 30, 2021 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. Family members will greet friends immediately prior to and following the service at the funeral home, and have asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be sent to Haven Hospice, 745 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL for the wonderful care given to Heather. Family members and friends are encouraged to share photos and other remembrances of Heather on the Tribute Wall here. Rest in Peace Heather, for your work on earth is done.
