Gloria M Hickey Bay City, Michigan, Formerly of Freeland, Michigan Gloria M Hickey, 74, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at McLaren Bay-Regional Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on July 15, 1947 to the late Clifford and Helen (Birkner) Schmidt. She retired from Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, as a Black Jack Dealer. Gloria loved taking trips to Mackinaw Island, crafting, daily visiting or phone conversations with her aunts, online games, but most of all spending time with her 5 grandchildren. Gloria is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (John) Martin and Katherine “Katie” (Scott) Nellett, her grandchildren, Trevor, Alexus, Scott Jr., Carter and Taylor. Sister Anna Sparks, and brother Clifford Schmidt Jr. She is preceded in death by her brother Chris Schmidt and husband, Robert Hickey. Gloria has been cremated per her wishes, with an Inurnment at Eastlawn Cemetery, Saginaw Michigan. A Celebration of Life will be held for Gloria at a later date.
