Camille Ann (Sano) Cardile Lynn, Massachusetts Obituary

Camille Ann (Sano) Cardile

Camille (Sano) Cardile, 74, of Lynn passed away on October 18, 2021, at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her daughters by her side.  She was the wife of the late Paul F. Cardile, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.    Camille was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Helen Sano. She was a lifelong Lynner and she proudly had the accent to prove it.  Upon her graduation from Lynn English High School in 1964, her high civil service exam score afforded her the opportunity to select from hundreds of jobs.  She happily chose to be a traffic clerk at the Lynn Police Station.  One of Camille’s favorite memories was that as a 20-year-old clerk, she got to ride with Mick Jagger in the back of an LPD paddy wagon when the now infamous Rolling Stones concert at Manning Bowl was shut down.    Once becoming a mother, Camille chose to stay home to raise her children.  She returned to work full time when she was in her 40s and was consistently recognized as a leading salesperson throughout her 20-year career at the Salem Evening News.  Camille was never one to boast or even mention any of her achievements, though there were many.  She took pride in all that she did whether it was refinishing a piece of furniture, cooking thousands of perfect meals, or helping her children and granddaughters.   Camille’s presence on earth made the lives of those she loved so much better.  She was the beloved mother, unconditional friend and lifetime confidante of Michelle Cardile Jordan and Nicole Cardile Messinger.  She was the loving and sarcastic mother-in-law to Austin Jordan and Robert Messinger.  One of Camille’s favorite and best roles in her life was that of “Nini” to Olivia and Sara Jordan of Stoneham and Katie McGuinness of Lynnfield.  Camille was the trusted and often bossy “Sis” to Attorney Joseph Sano, Helena Haley and Annette Mazza of Lynn and Marie Lunt of Plymouth.  She was also the sister-in-law of Frank Cardile and his wife Sheryl of Nahant as well as Bob Lemieux of Lynn and Peter Lunt of Plymouth.  Camille also leaves several nieces and nephews.    Camille was the most loyal daughter, daughter-in-law, wife, mother, sister, friend and grandmother anyone could have.  Her dry and sarcastic sense of humor and poker face were a source of amusement to those who loved her.  Camille believed that actions spoke louder than words, that cooking didn’t require measuring cups, and that love is what one did for others every day.  Her Funeral will be held on Friday October 22, 2021 at 9:15AM from the Solimine Funeral Home 67 Ocean Street (RTE1A), Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at St. Pius V Church. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4:00PM-8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hopeful Journeys Educational Center Inc., 28 Tozier Rd., Beverly, MA 01915.
