Maynard L. Keckler

Mr. Maynard L. Keckler, 87, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Monday morning, October 18, 2021 in the Waynesboro Hospital. Born March 13, 1934, in Greencastle, PA he was the son of the late John K. and Helen (Mowen) Keckler. He was a graduate of Greencastle High School with the Class of 1952. He later graduated from Montgomery Junior College, where he studied electrical engineering. Mr. Keckler served in the United States Army during peacetime. He and his wife, the late Kathleen R. (Blickenstaff) Keckler, were married November 25, 1954. Mrs. Keckler died on September 22, 2017. Mr. Keckler worked at Grove Manufacturing, Shady Grove, PA, for over 25 years. He retired in 1998 as supervisor of machine maintenance. He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waynesboro, the National Plymouth Club, Eagles Club, Inc. and the Antique Auto Club. Mr. Keckler enjoyed woodworking and restoring old cars. He is survived by three children, Belinda D. Lucas and her husband, Ned R., Jr. of Hagerstown, Scott M. Keckler and his significant other, Teresa Keckler of Shippensburg, PA and Kyle L. Keckler of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Ned R. Lucas, III, Kelsey M. Keckler, Jonathan K. Keckler and Shelby Fogus; one sister, Rebecca N. Lucas of Morristown, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 29, 2021 in Green Hill Cemetery, 953 S. Potomac St., Waynesboro with Pastor Drahus Oslik officiating. There will be no public viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Evangelical Lutheran Church, 43 S. Church St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
