Neil B. Randall

Neil B. Randall, age 98, of Grants Pass, died October 15, 2021 at his home. Neil Brainard Randall was born August 6, 1923 in Nihill, Montana to James Irwin Randall and Mary Elnora Gowdy Randall. He served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. He worked as an executive with the Los Angeles Herald-Examiner, retiring in 1974. Upon retirement he moved from Southern California to Grants Pass where he had originally purchased property in 1956. While in Grants Pass, he owned Rogue Valley Insulation and was co-owner of White Water Manufacturing. Neil was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From 1989 to 1993 he was the bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Grants Pass 2nd Ward. Neil was active in Boy Scouts of America for over 50 years and received the Silver Beaver Award. Survivors include his wife Dorene Randall; children James Bruce Randall (Holly) and Susan Lundberg (Eric); stepchildren David Palmer, John Palmer, Ann Palmer Riese, Susan Sanchez Shute, Shirley Sanchez-Nunez, and Cathy Sanchez Roff; 32 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his third wife, Marsha Gail McNevin who died April 26, 2013; his second wife Margaret Mary Foskin who died November 3, 1980; his first wife Mary Helen Hansen who died November 20, 1964; sister Bessie Estella Randall and brother William Randall. A viewing will be at 12 Noon, Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Savage Street. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Savage Street.
