Robert Taylor Hall Obituary

Robert Taylor Hall, Sr., 83, of Winchester, VA, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.


Robert (Bob) was born November 25, 1937 in Lexington, VA, the son of the late Earl Thomas Hall and Lillian Wilhelm Hall. He was an auto mechanic for many years and tractor trailer owner operator and a thoroughbred race horse owner.


He was a member of Boyce Baptist Church, Boyce, VA, and the Front Royal Moose Lodge # 829. Bob is survived by his wife, Sherleen Smoke Hall, sons: R. Keith Hall, Michael Hall,Timothy Hall, Robert Taylor Hall, Jr., step son D. Craig Nail, Jr., daughters: Sharon Hatton, April Seiders, sisters: Annie May Hostetter, Deloris Conner, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a dear friend Loretta F. Michael and many more.


Bob is preceded in death by his brother Henry Thomas Hall and a stepson Joseph K. Nail.


A visitation will be held Thursday October 21, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester from 5:00- 6:00 pm. A funeral service will follow immediately afterward at 6:00 pm with The Rev. Dr. Benjamin Jenkins officiating at Jones Funeral home.


There will be a committal service at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 2348 W. Midland Trail, Lexington, VA 24450 on Friday at 1:00 pm.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Boyce Baptist Church, P.O. Box 89,Boyce, VA, 22620, Frederick County Esther Boyd Animal Shelter, 161 Fort Collier Rd, Winchester, VA 22603, or Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
