William  DeVries, 75, of Concord, NC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Mr. DeVries was born February 3, 1946 in Friesland, Holland  to the late Frank DeVries and the late Anna DeVries. 
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara DeVries; son, Benjamin DeVries; brothers, James DeVries and John DeVries.

Survivors include son, Franklin DeVries and wife Cathy; daughter, Luanne "Lucy" DeVries; son, Geoffrey DeVries and wife Ramsey; grandchildren, Cameron, Tabby, Asher and Ezra; sister, Linda Blokzyl; sister, Ann Schoelier; sister, Susan Henry; sister, Alberta Harris; brother, Charley DeVries; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, October 22, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2:00 pm at River Rock at Odell Baptist Church, 6320 Davidson Hwy., Concord, NC, officiated by Dr. Steven Davis.  Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg.
