<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Patrick Bernard Granius, 68, of Casco, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 13, 2021 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He was born March 10, 1953 in Sturgeon Bay, the son of Bernard Granius and Mildred (Jadin) Granius. Patrick grew up attending St. Mary of the Snows Catholic Church in Namur. He graduated from Southern Door High School with the class of 1971. Patrick went on to study Diesel Mechanics at Northeastern Wisconsin Technical College in Sturgeon Bay where he earned his degree. He married Mona Marie Verstappen on October 21,1972. Through their marriage, they were blessed with a son, Jason.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Patrick was employed with Proctor &amp; Gamble in Green Bay as a mechanic for over 20 years and drove school bus for Southern Door School District. He loved working in his shop constructing and repairing equipment. Patrick enjoyed riding his motorcycle, golfing, cutting firewood, and driving his Mercedes Benz convertible. He was known for making the best chicken booyah.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Patrick resided in the Town of Red River (Casco) before moving into Odd Fellows Nursing Home in Green Bay in 2019.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He will be missed by his son, Jason Granius of Green Bay; mother, Mildred Granius of Sturgeon Bay; sister, Roxanne (Thomas) Hilbert of Sturgeon Bay; niece and nephews, Chalonne (friend, Chris Andree) Hilbert, Ryan (Jessa) Hilbert, and Connor Hilbert; and great-niece and great-nephew, Hattie and Hollis Hilbert.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Patrick was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents; Henry and Mamie (Draize) Granius and Adam and Irene (Baudhuin) Jadin.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;A private family service is planned, and he will be laid to rest in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;<em>Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Home Instead Senior Care and Odd Fellows Nursing Home for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Patrick</em>.&rdquo;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Huehns Funeral Home, Inc. &amp; Door County Crematory LLC in Sturgeon Bay are assisting the Granius family.      He was born March 10, 1953 in Sturgeon Bay, the son of Bernard Granius and Mildred (Jadin) Granius. Patrick grew up attending St. Mary of the Snows Catholic Church in Namur.
