Valentina Litwinenko, 66, of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Saturday October 16, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was born on October 10, 1955, the daughter of Ivan and Maria Bernerchic Litwinenko Sr. Before her retirement in 2011, Valentina worked for 31 years as a Therapy Aide at the Hudson River Psych Center in Poughkeepsie. Valentina was a lifelong member of the St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Poughkeepsie. Survivors include her sister Lydia Kichakov of Herkimer, NY, sister and brother in law and several nieces and nephews. Valentina was predeceased by her sister Stephanie and her brothers Michael and Ivan Jr. A short visitation will take place from 6PM-8PM Tuesday October 19, 2021 at the St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church 100 Livingston St Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Funeral Services will take place at 10AM October 20, 2021 at the St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery in Hyde Park, NY.
