Lenore A. Cowdery

Lenore A. Cowdery, 67, of Hampton, Illinois, died Saturday, October 16, 2021, in Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois. A celebration of Lenore’s life will be held on Friday, October 22, at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. A memorial service will start at 2 p.m. in the Horizon Room on the upper level of Trimble Pointe, and hospitality gathering with food and beverages will follow the service until 5 p.m. in the CityView Room on the lower level. The memorial service will be livestreamed from a link on Lenore’s tribute page at TrimbleFuneralHomes.com. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory. The former Lenore Armstrong Zimmer was born June 28, 1954, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to Henry Albert and Marilyn (Bolster) Zimmer. She married Douglas Cowdery on December 19, 1982, in Moline. She graduated from Blackhawk College where she was an instructor for ten years. She also did insurance billing coding for Genesis Medical Center for 25 years. She loved orchids, and enjoyed rock painting, birds, including her three parrots, and her puppies. Lenore is survived by her husband, Doug; two daughters, Heather Gyngard of Moline and Heidi Richardson and her husband Darrin of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Hailey, Addison, Liora, Elise, and Oakley; and siblings, The Hon. Richard Zimmer of Coal Valley, and Caroline McCormick of Florida. Lenore’s family invites friends to share stories and condolences at TrimbleFuneralHomes.com.
