Obituary

Mr. Charles Donnell Henderson, 60, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 1:00PM at Providence Cemetery, 165 Old Tennessee Road NE, Cartersville, Georgia 30121.

Due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines, physical distancing practices will be in place, and MASK ARE REQUIRED for those that will be attending the service. The family is the main concern during this time of bereavement and space will be limited. We have to ensure the family is able to attend the service, so there is a possibility of some friends not being admitted.

Charles Donnell Henderson was born September 22, 1961 to the late Charles Mack Henderson and the late Dorothy Mae Richards. He was the second of five children.

Donnell as everyone called him was full of life and love. He always wanted to know that you were all right and didn’t need anything. He never forgot anyone’s birthday and would give hugs if he thought you needed one.

He was educated in the Bartow County School System; attending Cass High School and graduating with the Class of 1977.

In his spare time Donnell could be found listening to music; his two favorite artists were Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson. He could listen to their music all day long and into the night. When he wasn’t listening to music you would find him watching television. He loved watching court shows; such as Judge Judy, Lauren Lake Paternity Court and the Couples Court.

Eating was something of another story because he wasn’t a picky eater but if you asked him what he wanted to eat his response would always be “ Big Mac from McDonald’s”, and then he would give you a great big smile to go with it.

Donnell is preceded in death by his parents; uncles, Luther, Will and Joseph Richards

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving siblings, Cathy Miles, Louise Marie Henderson, John Henderson and Cynthia Carson; nieces and nephews, Renada Miles, Lee Miles (Sarah) and T.L. Winters; great nieces and nephews, Antoine and Andrea Jefferson; great-great nieces and nephews, Nia Lee and Kia Jefferson; aunts, Ruth Ann Hendricks of Indiana, Nedia (Frank) Gary and Denise McLusky; cousins, Shawn (Shameka) Gary, Quinton (Jada) Gary, Marcus “Tank” Gary, Caleb Gary, Elijah (Boss Hog) Gary; a very close and dear father, Ervin Perkinson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
