A family Celebration of Life service is pending at this time for Janet Marie Overman, 83.

Janet died Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyoming.

She was born Wednesday, May 4, 1938 the daughter of Orville and Dorothy (Townsend) Anderson.

Janet met Alfred Allen Overman at the Casper hospital, where they were working. They were married on November 11, 1956 in Casper, Wyoming.

After leaving Casper they went to El Paso, Texas then to Anacortes, Washington before moving back to Douglas in 2017.

She volunteered at the Anacortes Senior Center and served Meals on Wheels for 27 years.  She loved visiting with all the people she served.

Janet is survived by her children, Sherril (Randy) McClure of Douglas, Linda (Mark) Young of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Dan (Janie) Overman of Bellingham, Washington, and Dean (Anne) Overman of Marysville, Washington; sister, Darlene Eytcheson of Minnesota; twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, on June 16, 2021and her parents.   

The Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.
