Charles Renfro Obituary

Charles Renfro, 88, of Abbott passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Providence Hospice Care Facility in Waco.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas with Alan Lynch, of First Baptist Church of Dallas, officiating.  Mr. Renfro will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 18, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Born in Depew, Oklahoma, on June 26, 1933, Charles was an aircraft mechanic and inspector for 30 years for Braniff Airlines.  He was a veteran of the Korean war.  Charles was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy of Abbott; daughter, Melody Renfro of Irving; son, David Renfro of Abbott; and uncle, Robert Hamon.  He will be missed by his family and friends.

The family is thankful to the Veterans Administration, Providence Hospice, and First Baptist Church of Dallas for all their care and support.
