REGISTER HERE TO VIEW THE LIVE SERVICE The passing of Althea Beryl (Nolais) Storey, wife of the late James “Jim” Storey of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 13, 1948 in Weaver Siding, NB, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Vivian (Burke) Nolais. Althea first worked at the Victoria Public Hospital in Fredericton before a 40 plus year career in retail with Wal-Mart. She enjoyed time playing cards, bingo and bowling as well as spending time with family at Grand Lake. Althea is survived by her daughters, Beryl Finnamore (Leslie) of Fredericton and Sherry Claybourn (Mark Bonnell) of Fredericton; son, Richard Storey (Joanne) of Royal Road; grandchildren, Alecia Storey, Tyler Downing, Tabatha McCrea (Brandon), Randy Storey, Kayla Storey; great-grandson, James McCrea; sisters, Maxine Watson (Weaver), Rose Bennett (Dean); brothers, James Nolais, Terry Nolais, David Nolais, and Robert Nolais; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Althea was predeceased by her brother, Joseph “Junior” Nolais. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Pallbearers are June Elliot, Phyllis Potroff, Adele Daigle, Pat Madore, Roberta Ouellette and Ruth Burke. Interment will take place in St Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Fredericton on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1 pm.
