Susan (“Sue”) McCallum (December 26, 1953 – October 15, 2021) Sue passed away peacefully at Belleville General Hospital on Thursday, October 15, 2021 at the age of 67, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. Sue leaves behind her devoted husband of 32 years, caregiver and best friend, Wayne McCallum; her beloved daughters, Laurie Simpson and Amy (Adam) Sherk; her step-children Kimberly and Jason McCallum; and many cherished grandbabies and great grandbabies. Sue is predeceased by her parents James and Pearl Mowat and her sisters Joan Crowell, Carolyn Gillies and Mary Reynard. She is survived by her sister, Lisa Mowat and will be missed by her nieces and nephews. Sue will be forever missed and remembered for her courage, strength and grace as she faced mounting health challenges. Sue had an incredible sense of humour and spent her life devoted to her family.   Susan’s family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff and nurses at the Belleville General Hospital for their care and kindness during this difficult time. A Service of Remembrance to honour her life will be held at the Stirling Rotary Club, 122 North Street Stirling, Ontario, on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 1pm – 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MS Society of Canada.
