Maxine H. Morrow Millinocket, Maine Obituary

Maxine H. Morrow

Millinocket - It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our loved one Maxine (Raymond) Morrow’s passing to the arms of her heavenly father on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Born to Regina and Peter Raymond, in Millinocket on April 22, 1931, she attended school with her younger siblings in Jackman after losing her mother at a young age. She later met and married Kenton Morrow and they settled in Millinocket to work and raise their family. Maxine worked most of her career with Great Northern Paper in their Treasury Department, retiring at age 60. Her talents were many – sewing, knitting, crocheting, tatting to name a few. It gave her great joy to share with family and friends. She and Ken enjoyed annual trips to Rhode Island and coastal Maine in the earlier years and shorter trips within Maine as they aged. Many of the trips included shopping time which she loved. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Kenton, siblings Philip, Beatrice Charette, Melvin and an infant brother. She leaves behind her daughter Cynthia and husband, Stephen Hodge, daughter Suzanne and husband Roland Sirois, grandchildren Shannon Sirois, Christopher Hodge, and David Hodge. She also leaves behind special nieces and nephews and their families: Paula and Gerry Hughes, Philip and Tina Raymond, Theresa and Ron Dubois, James and Pauline Charette, Rhonda and Don Shumaker, special cousin, Laurie Wallace, special friend Barney Robichaud, and special friends at the Thrift Store, where she volunteered. The family deeply appreciates the special and loving care she received from CHCS Hospice, and her personal caregivers that provided loving comfort to her in her remaining time at home. There will be a service at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. All are invited to attend. Services will be livestreamed and may be viewed, and messages of condolence expressed, at Maxine’s Book of Memories at www.lamsonfh.com. Donations in her memory may be sent to Food Pantry, Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, 19 Colby Street, Millinocket, ME 04462. I am leaving you with a Gift, peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27
